Our work is custom and hand-crafted

In a world filled with mass-produced things, we find it is helpful to point out that the type of work we do is not mass-produced. Our one-of-a-kind metal fabrications, while made to exacting industry standards, are unique creations.

Even though extensive efforts and time are taken to provide precision and accuracy, very smooth and even surfaces, balance, and uniformity, the very nature of the materials, tools and processes used in the creation of your work almost certainly dictates that if you look close enough you may see this very uniqueness and evidence of its hand-crafted nature.

These special creations are artisan-crafted pieces and not “cookie-cutter” machine-made units, mass-produced on a factory production line, or installed from off-the-shelf box stores. Despite the steps taken to minimize adverse effects, welding and sometimes even the process of cutting or grinding metal components substantially and predictably heats and melts metal and puts a strain at joints that can bend, torque, and twist materials to some degree.

The heating and melting of metal can sometimes create discoloration which can be sometimes only be partially removed. While best practice techniques such as careful clamping and slow, controlled cooling can counter and minimize these effects, they sometimes can not be completely eliminated.

Given even the highest levels of attention to detail, best practices, experience, and standards of workmanship, using the most demanding methods, your Fabrication will likely have minor nuances, and what some may term “imperfections” in the final product. Please recognize that these are unavoidable and part of what we believe creates the charm and art of your unique metal creation.
