Cleaning, care and maintenance of indoor stainless steel

With proper care, your new handrails should provide lasting style for years to come.

Upon the completed fabrication and installation of your new stainless steel handrail, surface fingerprints and any residues were removed with acetone and exceedingly clean cloths. No polishes, waxes or foreign products were applied to this surface.

To maintain the appearance on an ongoing basis, commercially available Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish is available through local hardware stores or the internet.

Take care to get a product designed specifically for stainless steel. As important, is the exclusive use of a new, clean cloth. (Even carefully washed cloths or rags can have residues which could be seen on polished or gritted stainless steel surfaces.)

At no time should any abrasives, abrasive cleansers, scouring pads, abrasive materials, metals, acidic or basic products, or other foreign materials be used to clean or polish your handrails, or come in contact with your handrails.
